Marcus Williamson MIMI

Director/Mechanic/MOT Tester

Marcus is the Managing Director and founder of Marc’s Garage, setting up his own business in Lytham in 1986 after a career serving the local motoring public as Service Manager of William’s Garage in the town. Since that time he has overseen a transformation of his business, going from a small enterprise, moving premises, taking on staff and adding many other services to his service and repair offerings including MOT’s, engine diagnostics and air conditioning work among many others. Marc is still a hands on dedicated member of the team carrying out MOT’s and dealing with many customer inquiries on a daily basis.

Simon Williamson AMIMI

Mechanic/MOT Tester

Simon, who is Marc’s son, has been with the company since 2002 and carried out his apprenticeship with us. He now undertakes all manner of servicing and repair work as well as doing MOT’s. On top of his practical engineering qualifications Simon is also an affiliate member of the Institute of the Motor Industry, which exists to set, uphold and promote professional standards.

Paul Garner

Mechanic/MOT Tester

Paul has been with the company since we moved to our present location in late 2001. Having previously worked and served his apprenticeship in Lytham, at Patterson’s Garages, he felt knowing the area and some of the customers would be a great advantage. Paul has continued his development, gaining various engine specific qualifications, whilst providing his expertise for us with all types of servicing and repair work undertaken. Paul also carries out MOT tests.

Orville Williamson

MOT Assistant

Orville, Marc’s brother, joined the company in 2004 after a full and successful career in the steelwork industry. He is an Mot assistant and does this by turning on lights and applying pedals as necessary when instructed by the technician. He also keeps up the appearance of the workshop and garage and also takes the lead role in our summer floral display and our christmas lights display.

Sarah Williamson

Service Advisor

Sarah has been looking after the needs of our customers for a number of years now, gaining experience of the individual requirements of all of our customers whilst maintaining the high standard of understanding and knowledge required of the modern motor vehicle. This helps her to supplement our technicians professional care for the vehicle with the same level of professional care for it’s owner, helping the customer to understand every aspect of the work carried out on their vehicle.

Alex Greenwood

Apprentice Mechanic

Alex has joined the company in 2018 as our apprentice mechanic and is currently studying for his NVQ in light vehicle maintenance and repair at Blackpool and the Fylde College. Alex deals with all aspects of tyre maintenance, from replacement to puncture repair and also carries out more complicated repair jobs on the cars under supervision. He is an integral part of the team, making sure the workshop is kept clean and tidy and that the mechanics are kept hydrated throughout the day.
